The GEIA/ACCENT emission files are provided in the netcdf format . Data computing languages, such as IDL or Matlab, support netcdf format, and can be used for data visualization and data analysis. Below are provided several tools for the most common manipulation tasks: visualization and comparison, basic statistical analysis, conversion in Ascii format and regridding of emissions data.
This tool was developped in collaboration with the LSCE/IPSL, and allows the visualization of emissions maps (and comparison of up to 4 emissions maps), for the emission datasets available on the web portal.
ECCAD is an emissions (and ancillary data) manipulation tool and database, developed besides the GEIA/ACCENT portal. The ECCAD database contains the emissions datasets that are available on this portal,
and provides tools for:
- interactive vizualization and comparison
- statistical analysis
- extraction of data
- biomass burning emissions calculation module
RETRO offers a package of software tools for manipulating netcdf files:
- conversion in Ascii format
- regridding netcdf files onto standard model grid resolutions
- computing emissions totals
